Meet The Junk Time Team.

Meesh is a young artist born and raised on the shores of Lake Michigan in southern Wisconsin. She now resides on the coast of Vancouver Island, where she has lived for eight years studying and practicing alternative theatre. She enjoys playing on floaty toys in the waves, big fires, beat box improv, bluegrass, drumming, speaking Spanish, and growing food.

Meesh got her first inspiration for puppets from childhood programs like Pee Wee's Playhouse and Sesame Street. Her goal is to direct groups of people to make theatre shows which are timely, radical, disturbing, and unnerving. She wants people to feel alive and eager to create together. Meesh likes to experiment with combining live actors, puppets, set pieces/ backdrops, as well as sound and lighting effects.

Shoy is a puppeteer, music-person and clown. He also is a voice actor and once ran a small felt hat making company. He has helped operate puppets for two seasons at  Bread and Puppet In Vermont which has been running under the direction of creator Peter Schumann for over 40 years.

He enjoys being on the stage in the moment and is inspired by complex, slap stick style of the Muppet’s.
