If funded the writer then must complete the project and it must be voted as completed before their able to get paid.   The writer must deliver the project no later then 1 week after the writers given deadline.  The writer then must distribute the .PDF file to every single donor via their provided e-mail. The donors then have 42 hours to decide if the project is completed.

Being late is not advisable as it can infuriate donors who could then vote that a project as incomplete!

Rules:

  • The author must declare the number of words and the due date for their end project. The end project may go over the target number of words. (Projects that seem to contain excess filler will be rejected and may not even go to a vote. For example, an author can’t just auto generate a bunch of words that seem unrelated to the original project.)

  • An absentee ballot is considered a vote for project being complete.

  • If 35% of voters or more on the first vote decide the project is incomplete, it is considered incomplete.

  • If a project is first voted as being incomplete the writer has another 7-day period to complete the project, plead their case and then distribute a second version of the project as a .PDF file to every single donor for a second round of voting relating to completeness. Every e-mail you send to a donor must also go through our verification e-mail address that is cc’ed onto your e-mail.

  • If 51% of voters or more on the second vote diced the project is incomplete, it is considered incomplete and funds are not delivered.

  • The author retains 100% of copyright and creative control over the project no matter what happens with the voting.

  • Some authors may decide to receive a funding bonus based on a % razed that is non-returnable. This is often used to pay for funding related costs and can not be more then 20% or less than 5% of total amount of money razed (18% goes to the author 2% goes to Project Kicker).  This decision will be made public and any one who donates to the project must agree that they will only receive a little as an 80% return if the author does not finish the project.

  • The writer must deliver the project no later then 1 week after the writers given Deadline.

  • Donors are expected to vote on a project based on its completeness and its completeness alone. Not on its quality or the current value of Ethereum. Not on whether or not the author took your suggestions or if they killed a character you liked or so forth. All donors are made to sign a nonbinding agreement stating that they will judge on whether the project is completed based on the criteria the author originally provided.

  • If Donners vote a project incomplete they must give at least one sentence of critique as to why they voted it incomplete.

  • Funds are stored in Ethereum.  [note: This poses an added element to the creative process, like the sword of Damocles, as the value fluctuates it so presents the author with the constant risk of the value of the coin skyrocketing, which could unduly influence the donors / voters to mark the project as incomplete! Though that is not the intention of Prompt Kicker, we hope and ask every donor to vote based on project completeness and completeness alone. Votes can still be vicious.

  • Donners can give whatever amount they believe is right and can be encouraged by added levels of reward. However, every donor must receive an e-mail with a .PDF of the end project.

  • At this time no, physical copies of the book or merchandise of any kind can be promised as reward for donating to the project. We are working on that.

  • Added incentives like, personalized voice messages, thank you e-mails, personalized thank you YouTube videos. Scans of hand written notes, PDF’s of other creative works that you can prove you own and things such as this that can be verified via e-mail are acceptable.

  • If the author goes over the deadline by more then 1 week (168 hours) the project will be considered dead all funds (minus the optional 20% funding bonus) will be returned to the donors.

  • If the author finishes the project on time and it is voted Completed, they receive 98% of the Ethereum raised. The remaining 2% goes to Prompt Kicker to maintaining the infrastructure. If the author decided to retain a funding bonus of up to 20% and as low as 5%, the 2% fee will have already been deducted.

  • Instead of creating an all or nothing high stress, manipulation prone Prompt Kicker smart contract project, we recommend adding project funding benchmarks.  For example, if you wanted your book to be 8 chapters long, and you wanted to complete two chapters a month. Then you could put your first project-benchmark vote being the first two chapters after one month after the commencement of the project. The author would submit the first 2 chapters of their book to the donors. Then the donors then have 42 hours to decide if that project benchmark is complete and if it is then you could receive 1/4th of your funds.  Of course, just like all the votes, if 35% of voters or more on the first vote decide the project is incomplete, it is considered incomplete.   If a project is first voted as being incomplete the writer has another 7-day period to complete the project, plead their case and then distribute a second version of the project to every single donor for a second round of voting relating to completeness. Every e-mail you send to a donor must also go through our verification e-mail address that is cc’ed onto your e-mail. And If 51% of voters or more on the second vote diced the project is incomplete, it is considered incomplete and funds are not delivered.

In the end Prompt Kicker is not just about funding a project but motivating an author to complete a work.

1.          Become Certified as a concept project on State of the DApps. [Achieved: https://www.stateofthedapps.com/dapps/prompt-kicker]

2.         Finished building our core team.

3.         Upgrading and redesigning our web sight.

4.         Complete Prompt Kicker V1.

5.         Upgrade to sandbox status on State of the DApps.
